Order of test performance
Test Ordering
The client wishing fire tests to be performed at the Fire Research Centre Products Research Division (hereinafter FRC PRD), through the electronic application system https://epaslaugos.gtcbst.lt/ submits a completed Request (form KSD-038). A separate Request shall be completed for each product/system/construction containing a detailed description of an object presented for tests (alternatively, data about a test object is provided in appendices). FRC PRD does not carry out selection of test samples (materials, products or objects for test specimens’ preparation). The client selects and prepares/mounts test specimens himself and delivers them to FRC PRD Laboratory located at Miško str. 7, Valčiūnai village, LT-13229 Vilnius Region, Lithuania (in case of testing of constructions, specimens are mounted by client in the laboratory). Client is responsible that the samples presented meet the characteristics specified in the submitted documents. Together with test samples a client in some cases submits a Sample Selection Report (for example in case of certification). The client must prepare the specimens following the requirements of relevant regulations or, with the consent of the laboratory, present them in such amount from which the specialists of FRC PRD could make specimens of necessary dimensions for extra fee. A specialist of FRC PRD, who accepts specimens or material for specimens’ preparation, makes sure of suitability of an object for tests (dimensions, amount, etc.) and checks whether the client has completed a Request in a correct manner. The client may request, that tests were performed with deviations from the standard, collect remains of specimens after tests are completed, and also watch the tests being performed on his products, etc., however this has to be specified in section Additional Information of the Request.
Before tests are started, both parties sign a Contract of Work Performance. Referring to the terms and conditions of this contract a client agrees that the method offered are acceptable to him, and the Director of FRC confirms that FRC PRD can perform the test in accordance with the method selected in a proper manner. In case of the method change, the confirmation is repeated. The Advanced Payment Invoice is sent by e-mail together with the Contract of Work Performance (typical form EN) prepared by FRC at the address indicated in the Request.
Result Presentation
Report preparation. After tests are completed, FRC PRD prepares a Test Report where the results are presented in a precise and objective manner in a relevant form prepared for the specific test method. In case the client desired only the indicative tests to be performed or product didn’t achieve expected parameters, the Indicative Test Report (such document couldn’t be used for classification) could be prepared for him. Apart from these reports a Classification Report, Extended Application Report,Supplement to Report, Additional Report or extra original exemplar of report may be prepared for the client. If the above-mentioned document preparation is ordered not at the same time when testing was ordered, the customer submits a standard Request (form KSD-038), but in this case the graphs relating to the performance of the tests, are not filled.
Each document is prepared in two copies, one copy is given to the client and the other one is archived at the FRC. The documents are collected at FRC PRD or, upon request of the client, sent by registered mail to the address indicated in the Contract of Work Performance. Upon request of a client approved and scanned test reports (only in PDF format) may be sent by e-mail.
